July 2024 Pupdate
I would like to say that this has been a bit of a busy month. I went to a small lake so that I could learn to be on a paddleboard. I did pretty well and finally was able to relax while sitting on the board.
My raisers brought out their little pool so I could use it on hot days. I mostly just walk in and get my feet wet. Sometimes, my whole face.
There were a couple of times we went to the river nearby to cool down. This is where I would just go in until the water touched my tummy. It was a bit cold but refreshing. I did like to pick up the sticks in the water.
For a week, I also got to be with my best sitter Agnes. She is so nice, and we do lots together. I even met a puppy friend there too and played lots.
Went to a BBQ at PADS and saw many other dogs. My brother was there too and we got to play in the pen for a bit, running around and even jumping in the pool.
We went to this brewery a couple of times too. The workers there really like me and say I am so good.
I had a couple of puppy classes this month. I am continuing to learn and keep up with my training. One of the things I am learning right now is backing up. Walking backwards. My last puppy class was fun because even though I was learning, I was also having fun doing it. It’s like a puppy obstacle course.

Bonus Pupdate:
Lumina has a calm presence and settles easily. She goes through the cues with ease and listens well. She was a star at the doctor’s office and parked herself nicely during the entire appointment.
It’s easy to redirect/ re-engage her when she is distracted during walks. She loves her walks but is just as happy to hang out in the home office when I am working. She really enjoys her playtime with my neighbour’s puppy and looks for her every time she goes out to the backyard.
She respects the personal space of my little senior pet dog. Both I and my neighbour’s puppy are looking forward to her next visit.
