Oh Raannarooo Arrooow Arroom (Translation: “ Oh Canada, our home and …..”)
Canada Day – I’m a parowwd Canadian Lab! My lineage; my breed – I’ll remind you – IS Canadian – though the Brits claim it. As my friend Wiki says: ‘Labrador Retriever is a British breed developed in the UK from St. John Water Dogs imported from the Colony of NFL and was named after the Labrador region of that colony.
*To be CLEAR: The Lab- ME- PADS MARA 2 – is Canadian – MY home and native land is Canada. It’s like the Canada/USA – Naismith; origin of basketball thing – as I always say, “Patriotic Roots of the ancestral tree are stronger than the epicormic sprouts from once we Labs came!”
To prove my pride of Canadian Identity, here is my picture in the Canada Day Pemberton Heights Parade & Party. Peep Chuck would not let me be my usual party animal self (until later at home lawn). She had me show her how I can be calm around the other party animals (dogs and children with questionable impulse control). Me getting excited and wanting really bad to interact with other doggies is apparently a make-it-or-break-it issue to do with my PADS graduation.
As you will see in the pictures – I met a new ‘friend’, I guess- I could not warm up to her – she didn’t smell like much of a personality- didn’t even cast a sniff in MY direction. I like her coat colour and deep brown puppy dog eyes, but other than that, she was rather stiff- her personality was… flat… much like my two-dimensional image on this LIME bike….that was on the sidewalk. If you look closely at the sign, the quote bubble is me saying, “DON’T park the bike on the sidewalk”. Jeesh… no one listens to me.
I am looking forward to the rest of summer!
