This month involved a lot of laughs – I went to two comedy events! The first was outdoors in a big field, and I was very lucky as Brad from Accessible by Design was there to make sure the event helped to accommodate special visitors such as myself – a service dog in training! I had my own little table I could tuck away under safely and make sure no one accidentally stepped on my tail! The other was to see some live Improv on Granville Island – we were so lucky they again helped to make sure we had plenty of space to lie down safely.
We did some more public access training with visits to watch the BC Lions play in a huge stadium, going to see a busy shop with tight spaces downtown (I had a reflective moment outside one that’s due to close – see below), grocery runs, malls, coffee shops, you name it, I was there, keeping things interesting. I also had to go to work with the human several times – I am getting much better with my duration, but still enjoy keeping her on her toes and perhaps breaking my sit when she least expects.
I got to have some more water fun on an early morning paddleboard again – I just love it. Glad I got to enjoy the last of it before the weather turns in and it gets cold!
I also got to stay with a sitter for a full week, where I learnt how to (eventually) settle with another dog inside, as well as two cats!
Let’s see what October has to bring… I have a terrible feeling it includes a very silly costume that the human found!
