Happy Paw-lloween!

Puzzle was not sure if the surprise he got at the beginning of the month was a trick or a treat. PADS Gem II, 9 weeks old, came to stay with us. She said she was here to learn all things that Puzzle is learning to be a superhero, but Puzzle was a bit suspicious.

Puzzle is so chill and quiet at home; he couldn’t understand how this miniature dog could have so much to say! Then he realized he could be a good coach. He encouraged her to love going into her kennel and to be content in quiet time. Each one sits quietly, watching and learning as the other practices skills training. They congregate in the bathroom to have their hair and teeth brushed, and their eyes and ears wiped.

He taught Gem to play tug and to wrestle. In typical big-brother fashion, he steals her toys and once slept in her bed in retaliation after she jumped on his. Walking together in the park looks so silly as they try to explore in different directions!

Puzzle spent a few days at a sitter’s and became fast friends with their young dog (someone his own size to play with!). He practiced his professional skills by spending a day with the sitter at work in a health clinic. He settled nicely and charmed everyone at the office.

Unfortunately and inexplicably, Puzzle decided to end the month like the previous month, with an infection. Both puppies must practice resting, and Puzzle loves extra snuggle time.
