Valentino was overjoyed with the first snowfall, an absolute delight to watch him lap the yard 4 times. Maybe as he was a winter-born puppy, he remembers his first snowy playtime with his litter mates.
Well, Valentino went to a new sitter Maddy and her mum (previous PADS sitters) and got back involved. A great new experience living with older kids and no other pets, he went out to dinner and was a star, went into Maddy’s work. A totally different routine for Valentino, which he adapted to with no problems, thatβs my boy. For anyone needing a sitter, I would highly recommend both Maddy and her Mum. Unfortunately, they could not get him to puppy class that first week in December, and after we picked him up on Sunday, I felt terribly guilty about delivering him for his Neuter 2 days later. Feeling terrible with the Cone, I popped him into a onesie overnight. Well, I can officially say this dog is Houdini. Poppers undone, legs out, pulled up his body and over his head, not a tear or rip in sight wow. However, this meant the cone had to go on and stay on. We chilled and watched movies, went for short walks and sadly missed the last two classes of the year.
On his check-up, all was well however, he had developed an ear infection in both ears poor guy. He certainly missed his outings with me and his weekly off-leash and getting back to normal was a relief.
We managed to fit in a mall trip, Costco, pub night, and a trip to the Childrenβs Hospital. Very much looking forward to class this week, getting back into a routine and ensuring heβs done some new field trips such as bus rides.
Hereβs to a great 2025 at PADS CALGARY!
