Marsh’s Marvellous month of December.

This month brought lots of outings, lots of guests and lots of decorations. Where should I start? Firstly, the boxes of decorations came out, and our living room was transformed with lights, trees, gnomes, nativity scenes and sounds of Christmas music filled the air! The humans had guests over and seemed to bake and eat way more than usual. My treats are usually raw veg, but snippets of chicken and moose came my way, occasionally. Outings included a number of visits to see Santa and one time, the children listened to a story. There were extra church services, and we listened to the high school choir singing. One concert was in a room lit by just candles, and a string quartet played Christmas songs. The Christmas Carol play was almost cancelled because of a windstorm and a power outage, but they decided to carry on, it ended after sundown, and we left in the dark! On rainy days, we sometimes go for walks inside the recreation center, and there’s a track where other people walk. Unfortunately, my dog friend couldn’t join me, so I just walked around and practiced ignoring the other people there. On drier days I found some quiet trails to run on. I had some fun but unfortunately, my friend couldn’t join me, and I wasn’t listening too well, so I didn’t go too far.

We did a little shopping. For my friends, I bought Christmas-themed poop bags and cookies! The kids got clothes and smelly lotions. After Christmas, I had a sleepover with Haiku, and right now, I’m watching the clock go around, and apparently, after midnight, it’ll be next year.

Happy New Year everyone. I’ve been told that lots of new things will happen in 2025. I wonder what they’ll be?
