2025 Started off with a bang!!

I won a photo competition with Santa, so we picked up my prize, which included this huge squeaking bone which I like to run around and squeak while my raiser is in meetings, LOL!

There were lots of trails sniffed, walked and played on this month, both with just my raiser and then with other PADS pups, these are sooooooo much fun playing tug with sticks! We even had a 6-month birthday party for (not so) baby PADS Burgie with 7 other pups!

We had a trip across the border to a very busy and small store called Trader Joe’s. My raiser loves this store, and I love all the kibbles that come with sticking close to her when it’s super busy.

One evening we joined up with PADS Raekin and Allen, (and their humans) to visit some really pretty lights and a very big bouncy bridge. There were lots of photos taken, and I did so well walking across the Capilano Suspension Bridge!

A few trips to the mall with other North Van puppies in training, sometimes it’s hard being around other PADS pups, and I forget that I am meant to be working but just want to play. I calm down pretty quickly and refocus on my raiser for lots of rewards!

I’m still working hard in class, and I have very nice leash-guided cues and great duration (with no distractions), but struggling a bit with “side” and “heel” as they move me away from staring straight at my raiser, which I do like to do, but we’re getting there!

We ended the month with the news that I’m transitioning onto the adult dog food and to have a little bit more each day as I’m so active, and I’m never going to say no to kibbles!

I’m looking forward to February for the Invictus games and a Guide’s sleepover! See you next month with those amazing updates!
