Hi hooman friends! It’s me, Sparx, back with my February update! This month, I got to be an official volunteer at the Invictus Games in the Puppy Puddle! So many people wanted to cuddle me (obviously, I am very soft), and there was a huge crowd with a big band playing! It was a lot, and I wasn’t too sure about it at first, but I did my best.

At home, my service dog training really came in handy because my hoomans were sicky at the start of the month. I’m not a huge fan of germs, but hey, a dog’s gotta do what a dog’s doggo do… I think I said that right. Anyway, I spent lots of time making sure they felt loved and comfy. I may not be a doctor, but I am very good at moral support (and being cute, which definitely helps).

The weather? Yucky. Wet, slushy, and not my vibe. BUT, my hooman is smart, and we did lots of outings at different malls instead. Let me tell you, I am now a mall exploration expert. Elevators? No problem. Weird floor textures? Pfft, easy. So many smells? Yes, please! My DMT training (that’s “Doggo Mind Tricks,” right?) is getting super solid, thanks to all the practice.

Also, I’ve been sleepy. A lot. And honestly? I think being a good service dog means knowing when to just chill. I’m really leaning into my ability to do absolutely nothing like a champion. Naps are an art, and I am an artist.

Buuuut, now that the weather is getting better, I can’t wait for more trail walks, sniffing adventures, and zoomies in the fresh air! I love a good mall day, but nothing beats dirt under my paws and all the good sniffs out in nature. Maybe I’ll even find some new doggo friends to hike with!

Until next time—stay fluffy, stay focused, and take your naps seriously.
