Another month has flown by, and I’m now 9 months old! With spring in full swing, I’m loving the longer days and more sunshine. This month, I’ve discovered a new passion—sports!

It all started with my second Whitecaps game. My first one was when I was just a tiny 4-month-old pup! I had a blast meeting fans and did a great job settling while my raisers enjoyed the second half of the match. Next, I attended an Abbotsford Canucks game and got to hang out in the concourse with PADS Dodger and Vespa, who were fantastic role models for me. Then I got to experience my very first hockey game. It was exciting, with all the cheering, blaring horns, and players zipping around the rink. Despite the noise and energy, I stayed calm under my raiser’s legs, making them super proud.

This month wasn’t all sports, though—I had plenty of new adventures. I visited IKEA for the first time to practice my skills in a different environment. I also joined a friend’s birthday party at a local bar and ventured downtown on the SkyTrain to attend a comedy show. Of course, I kept up with my usual activities, accompanying my raisers on their outings and errands—everything from gym sessions to grocery shopping, mall trips, and visiting family and friends. Some of my favourite visits involved spending time with some tiny humans. They might be noisy and quick-moving, but I adore them! I work hard to be on my best behaviour and politely drop their toys when I mistakenly grab them—can you blame me if they look like dog toys?!

I also had my 8-month ‘walk and talk’ at Lougheed Mall with cohort trainer Chelsea. It was a busy day at the mall with kids out of school for spring break, but I showed off my ability to keep calm and focused around lots of distractions, settled under the table in the food court, and ignored kibbles that were dropped on the floor.

Of course, we also made time for sniffy walks in the woods and hitting the off-leash trails, as it’s all about finding the perfect work-life balance over here!

Thanks for checking in with me!
