– had a meet-up with five PADS labs (Myra, Zuko, Aang, Meadow, Allen) for dog distraction training; after which they all played in an off-leash dog area, along with three non-PADS dogs of different breeds and sizes – THANK YOU, Kailea!
– had to wear sanitary pants/rested and digested through almost three weeks of April (due to estrus); became more sensitive to smells and sounds
– PADS Bee kept her company for three very happy days (for dogs and humans alike) – THANK YOU, Nienke!
– was given 2 new stuffable chew toys and 2 new puzzles (due to rainy weather)
– added some dog friendly herbs into her scent garden
– had daily walks in the neighbourhood and around, watched road works, roofing works, etc.; got DMT-ed from dogs, crows and cats
– played a bit with little PADS Kiara II (discovered a doggy pool for herself) – THANK YOU, Laresa!
– did some new to her body conditioning exercises (thanks to Heather C.)
– worked on “off-switch” cue (foot on leash) for go-ins; practiced “settling” under the dinner table at home
– did some duration/distance training
– supervised lawn works: grass mowing, dethatching, aeration, topdressing, overseeding – so much novelty in one backyard 🙂
– had fun with a “contrafreeloading” test (bowl, slow feeder, snuffle mat)
– played tug-of-war, did some fun shaping training (to obtain food through tugging)
– splashed in a local creek, walked along a busy road (trucks, busses, RV’s)
– discovered a lawn sprinkler and a cooling mat
– missed dog-dog interactions a lot…
– worked a bit on “knocking/doorbell/talking to an imaginary visitor” protocol
– worked on not chasing moving objects (rolling and flying)
– had an appointment at her regular vet hospital (for a progesterone test)
– had a few visitors in the house, garage and backyard (children having playdates, contractors doing some noisy works); practiced tethering while watching kids play badminton in the backyard and mini-soccer in the house
– attended trainer Krista’s zoom class (arousal toggling game, perch, leash pressure, recall)
– played a 2 bowl game (towards movement puzzles)
– checked weight at an unfamiliar vet clinic
– visited a dog friendly retail store, picked up her favourite child from an elementary school
– off-leash trails are calling her!
