Main events of June:
– switched PADS cohorts, met her new instructor on zoom and in-person
– gave a car ride to a stranger (was neutral to the novelty situation)
– had some free shaping training
– got conditioned to an Elizabethan collar
– did “nosework” at home and in the backyard (LOVED it!)
– walked on trails, in parks, on beaches; met different dogs
– played a food preference game by targeting buzzers pre-recorded with “apple” and “cheese” (Pecorino Romano won)
– attended TELUS work party at PADS campus (said thank you to a few volunteers for their help to PADS)
– attended a high school science fair
– worked on chin targeting for eye checks (with eye drops)
– learned to play tug-of-war the right way (LOVED it!)
– had an eye exam at PADS campus
– attended her 18-year-old human’s high school graduation ceremony at the Orpheum theatre (explored busy sidewalks of Vancouver downtown)
– attended Vancouver International Airport on the Airport Workers’ Day…(along with 5 other PADS labs); highlight of the visit – feral bunnies around YVR 🙂
– had fun with some cognitive tasks (object discrimination/reversal learning) and some spatial memory tasks (delayed non-matching to position/disappearing object)
– received an early birthday gift – an off-leash walk with released PADS Peach II – learnt so much from an old(er) friend!
