June was a whirlwind for Tattor and her family! With school wrapping up, Tattor’s days have shifted into summer mode—full of outdoor fun and, with all four kids home full-time, no shortage of action and attention.
Little by little, Tattor is learning her house manners. She’s been essentially accident-free and requires less tethering as time goes on. She’s one smart cookie and loves offering different behaviours during training to figure out what we’re asking of her. She’s mastered “sit,” is confidently moving between sit, stand, and down, and is working on responding reliably to their verbal cues.
Tattor is a champ in her crate and has been wonderful around other dogs. This month, she even got to spend a weekend with PADS Blair—our previous pup—who came back to support end-of-year celebrations at school. Tattor is a magnet for hellos and smiles when we are out and about. Tattor also completed her puppy bootcamp training class here in Calgary, a fantastic opportunity to learn alongside other pups her age. She held her own during a group field trip to IKEA (and even spent time with the older dogs!) and finished the month with her longest car ride yet—just over three hours to Invermere, where she kicked off summer vacation with some amazing volunteer sitters.
More photos to come from her time in the Valley in next month’s update—see you then!
