MEET TEAM ALMA

Alma is thriving in her role as a Justice Facility Dog in Cranbrook, BC.  Alma brings lots of comfort to survivors of crime and trauma, and she is always eager to visit with clients and lay her chin on their lap to say hello! She offers a grounding and calming presence when individuals access victim services and navigate the justice system. She is eager to sit at their feet and loves to lay her head or paw on their shoe while she is doing her job. In her off time, Alma loves to play in the river, take naps, and make friends with other dogs! 

Alma’s journey to becoming a justice facility dog would not have been possible without the love, generosity, and dedication of her puppy raisers, sponsors, and all the incredible volunteers at PADS. Their efforts have not only given Alma the tools to support people in traumatic situations, but have made an immeasurable impact on increasing the wellbeing of those who engage in the justice system.
