Hi, Everyone!
Well, summer is now in full swing! So, this month, I’ve been riding the heat waves and enjoying the vacation vibe.
July Milestone: Happy First Birthday, Dragon Litter! I hope all my Brothers and Sisters got silly on The Day. I sure did. I wore multiple party hats, posed for photos, went for a forest adventure… and, wow, the presents! Benita (my Special PADS Person) gave me a lucky charm bandana and an amazing bowl, emblazoned with my name and photo! Then, Lady Caroline (my Sponsor), Nana (Patron Saint of PADS Puppies) AND VIP Nootka came by for a visit, bearing goodie bags of delicious treats. Well, I do love treats, but these days, I love pretty girls a whole lot more. So, must admit, from the minute Nootka trotted into the room, I made a total pest of myself. Well, give a guy a break! It’s Nootka’s fault for being the Prettiest of the Pretty.
Summer Passions: This month, I’ve been dividing my time between urban hiking and wilderness wandering. The busy summer streets give me a chance to fine-tune my LLWalking in distraction-rich environments and to practice my kibble-free public settling on curious surfaces. As for wilderness wandering… well, that hardly needs an explanation. A dog being a dog is pure heaven! Also, I’ve had my wading pool out several times, climbed a few trees, watched some ball games & tennis matches. And on one especially hot day, I blew through all my pocket money at the arcade.
Thank you so much for checking in on me! One whole month of Summer still to go, YIPPEE! My business goal is to take the edge off my surprise-encounter-dog-distraction. My fun goal is to swim in the ocean. I’ll keep you posted on both scores. Until then, remember, make a pest of yourself now & then. It’s all in a day’s work!
