Hi!

This month has flown by. Here’s what I’ve been up to.

On Canada Day, we met friends at Rocky Point; it was busy, including lots of dogs. That was followed up with us being at the cabin for July 4th, now that was crazy. Fireworks start about 6 p.m. and go non-stop till after midnight. We had dinner with a group of friends while watching & listening to the fireworks. I was so chill, the noise didn’t bother me at all.

I met up with friends for training, and we practiced loose-leash walking, aka LLW, settling in public in coffee shops, restaurants, and even at parks. We’ve been to a couple of pet stores, gift shops, and the fish store with one of my favourite people. I love the smell, mom does not!!

We went to a ’70s-themed birthday party, and we all dressed up. We went to RibFest with some family, and it was extremely busy. I was really good considering the music was loud and there was food on the ground. I hung out at Yellow Dog Brewery with mom & dad, and friends. I wasn’t sure why it’s called Yellow Dog and not Black Dog.

Mom & dad went to a concert in Seattle, it was going to be a long day, too much for me, I stayed with sitter “auntie Jo” and had a blast. She does fun training with obstacles, we met another raiser and her puppy at the mall, went to the jazz festival and church, she said I have a fantastic ‘off-switch’.

We had an in-person puppy class. It had been weeks, and I was happy to see all my friends. At the end, we had a relay where we had to rotate around perch pots. It was fun, and our team won. Our trainer is so generous, she was giving away all sorts of dog stuff like collars and leashes. Mom grabbed a couple of collars; you can never have too many, can you?

I continue to work on my skills, learning new ones all the time, and my mom says I’m doing well.

Hugs,
Meadow
