This month was full of excitement for Calvin as he joined the newest cohort of Advanced Training dogs in their first week of pup-versity ! He was absolutely thrilled to meet his new furiends, go on sniff walks, and indulge in frozen kongs. He was the fastest to devour them, of course!
While Calvin had some big feelings about settling in the training centre, we introduced a few new tools to help him feel comfortable and confident. These strategies will set him up for success when a spot opens up for him and if he ends up on the campus.
In the meantime, Calvin is working diligently with his long-term sitter on dog distraction, refining his obedience skills, and practising loose leash walking.
We are so proud of Calvin’s progress and can’t wait to see how he continues to grow!
