Quinoa spent the majority of the month off-site as we supported turn-in for new friends and participated in team trainings. During that time, she had several opportunities to perform as a demo dog, where she handled the environment well and demonstrated good engagement with handlers.
While on-site, we focused on introducing and developing her “bump” in preparation for future PTSD service work. She’s starting to understand the concept and is showing thoughtful effort in shaping sessions. We’ve also begun working on her pop-up stand, which is still in the early stages but progressing steadily. She’s putting in great work and showing consistency in her learning.
Quinoa continues to be a thoughtful and willing partner, and we’re looking forward to building on these skills as she gains more fluency and confidence.
