August was a good month for Gadget and her training. She is now 14 months old and definitely starting to show more maturity and an ability to make the right decisions on her own.
A lot of Gadget’s training this month revolved around staying calm while doing activities in the neighbourhood. We went to the local mall a number of times, as well as coffee shops and restaurants. She was excellent at all of these outings. She also remained calm through our twice a week visits to Langley Gardens Long Term Care Home.
Her favourite activity (and mine) took place near the end of the month, when we went to the PNE. I’m pretty sure Gadget saw it all. She walked the Midway, watched some of the rides, got up close to some farm animals, watched the outdoor entertainment, went to the Superdogs show, and finally curled up for a long nap during the evening entertainment at the Coliseum. Through it all, she was amazing.
