Hello world, I’m PADS Sturko! I was sponsored and named by the Stampede City Canadian Progress Club in memory of one of their long-time members.
This month, I started my journey as a PADS puppy in training. I traveled all the way from Oregon to the Okanagan, where I met my puppy raisers, whom I will live with for the next year or so. It took me a few days to catch up on sleep from my travels, but after that, we hit the ground running.
I have already been rocking my superhero cape on various outings with my puppy raiser. We have been to the grocery store, to various appointments, and even out for dinner. Everyone has been super impressed by how well I settle in new situations, so the human is hoping I can maintain my chill nature. My new best friend is my “Uncle Tiller,” although he doesn’t love me as much as I love him (yet).
At puppy class, I have been working hard to keep up with the big kids. Everyone says I’m doing really well, even though I tend to fall asleep before the end of class…
I’m told next month I will get to go to my first hockey game and choir practice. My raiser is hoping I will continue to take everything in stride as we work on getting to know each other better.
That’s all for now!
Sturko
