September is over already?! The month flew by!
I kicked off the month with a training session alongside PADS Meadow at the mall, where we practiced loose leash walking, settling under a table, and our durations with distractions.
I also spent time visiting a very special person in the hospital, bringing smiles to patients and staff alike. There were lots of new smells and sounds to take in, but I confidently navigated the busy hallways and settled when asked.
Other highlights included a trip to Fort Langley, a fun-filled playdate with my brother Arthur, and participating in the Intergenerational March at UBC in honour of Truth and Reconciliation Day. PADS was invited to attend to help ease some of the heaviness that the day can bring. It was very busy with lots of people and 14 other PADS dogs, which made it quite the challenge for me to stay focused! My raiser noticed I could use more practice working around groups of PADS pups in cape, so we’ll be looking to arrange more training dates soon.
The best part of the month? My new friendship with PADS Puzzle! We’ve become great pals and play beautifully together. We met up for a couple of off-leash hikes and even joined our humans for lunch, where we settled calmly under the table together.
Catch ya next month to update you on my spooky season!
