Patty is getting much better at settling in public, especially when she has her blanket to lie on. She still gets very excited when strangers say hi to her, but is getting calmer around other dogs and is getting quicker at regaining her composure.
This month, Patty went on a few off-leash walks with some older PADS dogs, who helped her with checking in and recall. She found it very relaxing to sniff around, and the mud puddles were irresistible. At Buntzen Lake, Patty had her first swim. It was exciting running around in the sand and shallow water, but once the water reached her chest, that was deep enough!
We also visited Capilano suspension bridge, where she bravely crossed the wobbly walkway – much braver than half the people crossing. Four legs help with balance.
