Summer is slowly arriving with more sunshine days and adventures; it was a bit of a different month.
I spent the first half on a puppy swap with Hara’s raiser. She is very cool and has these small birds that fly around the living room. I did very good with them, a little confused to start, but then learned they were fun to just lay and watch. I went on a camping adventure and some trails. Although she didn’t understand my asking for belly pets, I lay on my side and then waved my paw around!
My raiser had Tesla for the 2 weeks, and she was amazed at how different we are. Tesla is a lot more cuddly and LOVES kids & pets. I, on the other hand, prefer my human. I will “go say hi,” but it’s normally a boop/quick sniff and back to my human.
We had our class summer BBQ and I got to make a beautiful painting which my raiser put on her wall when we got home!
There was about a week where I got to have some fun on the trails, went to Ikea with PADS Burgie, but then I got spayed and ended up in the dreaded cone of shame and body suit, so the rest of the month I spent relaxing and healing.
Here’s to a more active July!
PS: I’m doing very well with my training, and I have a fantastic loose leash, although my big distraction is dogs, so we are working on that, and I’m getting better day by day when I’m on leash and just focusing on my human.
