Meet Fawn

What’s wonderful about Fawn

Fawn is a sweet, snuggly girl who’s happiest when she’s near her people. She’s a pro at lounging in her kennel, has great house manners, and is as trustworthy as they come — even when left alone. She’s confident and composed, with a calm presence that fills any room (unless she’s having one of her silly “zoomie moments”!). Fawn lives harmoniously with other dogs and prefers to find a snuggle buddy in her doggy housemates rather than a rowdy play buddy. She enjoys quiet walks, and is a total cuddle enthusiast once the day winds down. She’s happiest in a home where she can be part of her person’s everyday rhythm — following them around, sharing adventures, and curling up for well-earned naps.

Where Fawn needs extra support

When Fawn gets excited, though, her playful side takes the wheel! Her zoomies can turn into a burst of leaping and mouthing, though these episodes are short-lived and she settles quickly with a little support. She’s not a fan of long “sit and do nothing” moments — expect some dramatic sighs, baby-cow moans, or grass-chewing protests if she’s asked to settle for too long in public. Fawn thrives with someone who can keep her engaged and laughing, who enjoys her spirited personality, and who’s ready to be her emotional-support human in return. With patience, love, and a good sense of humor, she’ll reward you with endless affection and loyalty.

Home Requirements

Someone must be home the majority of the day. As with all PADS dogs that have spent their lives in the full-time company of their raisers, the living situation must accommodate not leaving Fawn alone at home for more than 4 hours/day.

A stable home environment is required. This includes regular exercise, grooming, veterinarian care, food, as well as other necessary supplies and equipment.

Released PADS dogs do not have public access, meaning they are not allowed to enter malls, restaurants, hotels, or shops that are not pet friendly. They are only permitted to go to public locations that are pet dog friendly. Before releasing a dog from our program, PADS evaluates each dog for other working careers. Fawn is not eligible for any other working career. Therefore, one of the conditions of adoption is that she may not be used by other agencies for other working roles (some exceptions may apply depending on the reasons of release, such as volunteering as a pet visitation dog).
