Hi friends!
October was a fun month! At the start of the month, I spent a lot of time being a very supportive study buddy for my human as she studied for her exam. Then, once that was done, I enjoyed lots of trail walks with my puppy friends and bike rides in the forest.
Then, I went on a plane! I visited my friend Koda and spent a weekend with my human’s family. I had so much fun playing with him and lounging around the lake house. I also went on a boat! The wind was blowing my ears all over the place, but thankfully, my human put me in my gorgeous knit sweater to keep me nice and toasty on the water. I then flew back to Vancouver. This brings my flight count up to 10!! Needless to say, I’ve mastered it and am a beautifully behaved sidekick on the plane.
I enjoyed some spooky season activity with my Campus Canines UBC buddies this month. Our silly humans put white sheets on our heads and took photos of us as ghosts all over campus. We were very patient models for them. PADS Blanco, Bubba, and I also went on an adventure to a pumpkin patch! I got to see lots of horses and a few goats! They were so cool. We played in a pile of hay and took lots of photos at the farm.
Then, on October 22nd, I celebrated my birthday!!! I’m TWO years old! Can you believe it!? Time has really flown by. I celebrated with a trail walk with some of my friends: Haynes, Blanco, Taj, Bubba, and Marvel. We also got to eat puppy cupcakes!! They were delicious. I also got some awesome gifts for my birthday, and loooooved ripping open the wrapping paper!
To wrap up the month, we celebrated Halloween. I dressed up as a lion. I went to the Campus Canines Howl-o-ween event and had a blast meeting lots of people there. I also wore my lion costume to class on Halloween and was veeeery popular with the med students! Everyone loved the service lion in training. To wrap up Halloween, I “helped” the humans carve pumpkins (aka did my very best to sneak nibbles of their pumpkins). Then my human roasted the pumpkins and made me loads of treats!
And that wraps up the month for me! Can’t wait to see what my third year of life brings!
