What a memorable month December has been for our growing girl! Tattor experienced some delightful new adventures and continued to charm everyone around her with her spirited personality.
Theatre became a highlight this month with two wonderful outings! The first visit was particularly magical – there was actually a dog on stage playing Toto in The Wizard of Oz! Tattor had a fantastic view from the front of the balcony. She’s becoming quite the theatre-goer, learning to settle quietly during performances while still taking in all the sights and sounds.
The really cold weather brought some mixed feelings for our pup. While Tattor isn’t quite a fan of having those protective boots put on her feet, she’s learning they’re necessary for keeping her paws safe during the coldest walks. The contrast between bundling up for frigid outings and then enjoying really warm, cozy walks has been quite the adjustment. But when the snow starts falling – that’s pure magic! Tattor’s delight in falling snow continues to bring joy to everyone around her, and her enthusiasm is completely contagious.
The holiday season brought some festive adventures, too! Tattor got to visit the big red guy for her picture. There sure were a lot of dogs around, but with enough kibble, she stayed on task and focused on her human – showing off her developing training skills even in distracting situations.
Tattor also got some valuable practice as a facility dog when she provided support to her humans during their immunization appointments. It’s wonderful to see her natural instincts for helping others in community settings, and she handled the responsibility beautifully.
Christmas morning was wild and amazing! Tattor found herself surrounded by energetic kids, soaking up all the holiday chaos like the true household member she is. The best surprise was discovering she had her very own Christmas stocking filled with treats and toys. Her new dinosaur toy has quickly become a favorite – she’s been proudly showing it off and enjoying some good chewing sessions with her prehistoric friend.
On a fun note, Tattor loves belly rubs and will lie on her back, daring someone to come over and give her attention. It often works quite well, but she’s also learning that sometimes she just has to remain on her bed when asked – an important lesson in patience and obedience that will serve her well in her future role.
It’s been a fantastic month with her people, full of new activities and continued bonding. Tattor is still growing fast, embracing each new situation with joy and curiosity while bringing happiness and energy to every day. Here’s to looking forward to what January will bring!
