Happy New Year from Tattor! January brought a mix of urban adventures, winter weather challenges, and some quality downtime for our growing girl.

The month kicked off with a trip up the Calgary Tower for brunch—what a foggy view! Afterward, Tattor explored the Devonian Gardens while her humans entertained passersby at the public piano. She’s becoming quite the city dog, taking new environments and experiences in stride.

Tattor has fully embraced her winter gear routine now, and getting dressed in her booties and coat has become just another part of the day with no fuss. She’s been enjoying walks through Confederation Park, bundled up and ready for whatever the weather brings.

January also surprised us with some amazingly warm days! One of the highlights was a stunning sunset adventure at Nose Hill Park—though wow, was it windy up there!

This month also brought an unexpected change of pace when Tattor went into heat. She spent three very chill weeks taking it easy, which actually worked out perfectly for practicing her durations. Turns out when you just want to stay put anyway, acing sit, stand, and down for longer periods is a breeze! She also got plenty of practice getting dressed (always a work in progress) and enjoyed lots of quality time with her new toys—especially her gingerbread man stuffie, which has become the star of many productive play and tug sessions.

The month wrapped up with a week-long stay with PADS volunteers Kim and Robyn, and Tattor hit the jackpot: they have a puppy too! Holly became Tattor’s new best buddy, and the two had a fantastic time together. It was great socialization for both pups, and Tattor proved just how generous and easygoing she is—happily sharing toys and Kongs without a second thought. She also provided some excellent role modelling for her younger friend! Thanks to Kim and Robyn for taking on two pups at once!

All in all, January was a month of growth, adaptation, and plenty of fun. Tattor continues to embrace whatever comes her way with her signature blend of enthusiasm and grace. We can’t wait to see what February brings!

Until next month!
