Myra had a pretty busy kick-start to 2026. As per usual we strive for a healthy balance between work and play – and Myra enjoys both! Sometimes our training sessions happen solo in the house, but other times we take it on the road out in public, at times just the two of us, but sometimes we invite friends. Myra enjoyed group training excursions to the mall a few times, to Lafarge Lake, and to a kindergarten class!!! How much fun is that!!! A small group of doggos were invited to go and speak to two classes and explain how we train service dogs, some of the types of service dogs there are, and most importantly, how to act around a working team. They were such a smart, engaged group of kids, and we had a blast.

Other outings included joining me while I donated blood, going to pet stores, and going out to restaurants. But her most impactful trips were accompanying me to VGH to visit a friend and her family member during a very difficult time. Myra’s presence was a welcome distraction, and her sneaky kisses made us all smile.
