JONSIE continues to adjust to his gentle leader; he is a puller and a floor surfer in Grocery stores, especially. We can have a fantastic walk one day, and the next can be stubborn sits and attempts to remove it. I have no doubt that with patience and treats we will soon be walking without a pull.

He has mastered many other cues for some time; currently, we are working on sit to a stand, durations for all three. He can be a pickle and pretend he can’t jump in the car, for example, until my tone changes and in he jumps.

A highlight was visiting our seniors for an ’80s glow-in-the-dark party; he was a big hit. The remainder of February, he visited a sitter and met some new canine friends and humans. I will say he is very independent and adapts immediately to new sitters; we almost feel bad collecting him. That wraps up Feb, and we look forward to Spring and all the new training opportunities it will bring.
