This month has been crazy!
The human and I packed up our stuff and moved far away (not far at all…). We live on campus now! That means fewer bus rides, which is a bummer since I’m a pro, but lots more walking in crowded areas and public outings now that we’re close to so many things.
I’ve been able to show off my skills at so many events: Whitecaps game, Storm The Wall, Campus Canines Carnival, Varsity Collabs, boothing, and all around! Also lots of trail walks with friends and rainy sniffy walks around campus!
I’ve seen lots of friends, human and dog, and I’m learning to keep my cool around those I love — it’s so hard! I’ve been settling in great to our new place, and I get so happy to put my cape on and go to work. The human says I’m becoming a wonderful partner to explore with (on trails, on campus, in and out of cape)!
Since this month has been so busy, we haven’t done as many intentional training sessions (other than puppy class), BUT we use cues in our everyday life, and my new favourite is “heel”. I like jumping up and throwing myself into that position. I’m told I have to work on it, but I think I do it perfectly.
Now time to practice my settling as the human preps for exams and I spend my days in study rooms and libraries, of course, with the added perk of romps in the trails. See you in April!
