Well friends, I’m excited to tell you that in March I hit a monumental milestone in my little life. I went to Costco for the first time. It was insane. I dodged carts and people, I avoided (most of) the tempting things on the floor, I got tons and tons of treats from Jen (something she calls “high rate of reinforcement”) for staying close and focused and I emerged unscathed and victorious. I also went to the dentist…well Jen went to the dentist and I watched. The dentist was very impressed with my behaviour. I go to work with Jen almost every day and she says I settle way better than my big brother (from another mother) Astro did at this age. We did our usual weekly errands/ shopping which I’m told is a good opportunity for me to work on dealing with distractions. We took a short trip to the cabin and I got to run around a lot. I’ve been enjoying frolicking in all the snow we had this past month. I also had a play date with 8 of my PADS friends which was awesome.
I’ve been working on position changes, car loading, recalls and staying focused around tempting smells.
