Today marks 30 years of changing lives… from humble beginnings of a small group of like-minded people that set out train rescue dogs to be hearing dogs for those who were deaf or hard-of-hearing — to the thriving organization that places dogs as Service Dogs, Hearing Dogs, Accredited Facility Dogs (AFD) and Very Important Pets (VIP) today… we are absolutely humbled as we celebrate this milestone.

Humbled by:

  • the trust that is put in us each day by our clients to provide them with life-changing dogs, and support them as the journey through life together
  • the donors that give so generously in support and belief of what we do
  • our staff that work hard each day to improve, always learning and growing to serve our clients better

…and without a doubt…. our volunteers.  We could not exist a day without them.  They selflessly raise our puppies, clean our kennels, stamp our envelopes, take our photographs, care for our newborn puppies, cheer lead and encourage endlessly our mission — often at great personal and emotional cost — we thank you.  We thank each of you that have put your faith in PADS and for continuing to help us change lives, one dog at a time.

Tell us your PADS story

In 30 years there have been a lot of stories.  Some of those stories are brief, a chance encounter or sweet puppy cuddle. Others have been a journey – of partnership or commitment with one of our dogs.  Whether you have volunteered, received a dog as a client or adopter, given of your time, money or heart… you are part of the PADS story.  Tell us how being involved with PADS has impacted you.
