DeeDee arrived in Vancouver on July 15th, making the trip from Edmonton – a big change for a 9-week old puppy. Since she’s arrived, she’s been adjusting to the west coast, keeping me company while I’m working from home. She is getting used to living on a busy bike path and watching people zoom by. She loves to chew and is learning what things are and are not hers.
Shortly after she arrived, DeeDee started experiencing an upset stomach and then developed a UTI. She needed to go on medication and a special diet, which made certain skills hard to teach. This gave us an opportunity to focus on food bowl manners, which she is quickly learning. Her health has started to improve in the last couple of days, and we could take her to visit our favourite coffee shop.
