Spring has started to make its way to Calgary’s side of the Rockies, and the advanced dog crew is very pleased to be taking advantage of the warmer weather. Cheddar is focusing on learning new skills for her future career as an assistance dog. She is learning positional cues, interruptions and alerts, and movement skills to help her thrive in her prospective job. She is proving how sweet she is and quickly picking up her new skills.
- Skills being learned: Front/Post, Chin target to a leg, Alerting
- Recent field trips: Petland, Marlborough Mall, Chasin Tails
- Possible behavior challenges: Can find some training scenarios stressful
- Advanced training location: Calgary
