This month has been super exciting for Lady II! She has been matched with a client and is learning all kinds of new tasks specifically for her client. She has been working hard in preparation for team training at the end of August! However, it isn’t always work for Lady – she has also been enjoying taking some time off on the weekends and going swimming, hiking, biking and camping. She is always up for anything, which makes her trainer Amy very happy. She is the best girl, and we are all very excited for her to start her career as a mobility service dog. Thank you to everyone who had a part in Lady’s journey. None of this would be possible without our amazing puppy raisers, volunteers and sponsors!

  • Skills being Learned: Turning on and off lights, retrieving a manual wheelchair, removing clothing articles such as socks and jackets, bracing for transfer, washer/dryer retrieve, retrieving shampoo/conditioner bottles in the shower, locating and retrieving a cell phone from the locator ding
  • Recent Field Trips: Remax Field, University of Alberta, IKEA, St Albert Mall, Superstore, dog park
  • Possible Behaviour Challenges: Will sometimes try to steal food
  • Advanced Training Location: Calgary
  • Career Path: Service Dog

Thank you again for all your support of Advanced Dog Lady II!
