December was filled with so much fun, love, and joy! I learned about this thing called Christmas and went on many holiday outings. We had a Campus Canines fundraiser night at Sports Illustrated and I was a great welcomer! I even brought in some new members. One of the markets I went to this season was Make It. It was a crowded event but I was a good boy and stayed close to my hooman. The food on the ground was sooooo tempting but it couldn’t fool me! December also brought more playdates and new friends. I got to meet PADS Thresher who was a great playmate and my new Campus Canine buddy PADS Casper. As I am almost 7 months old I am learning to take on a mentor role with new puppies.
This month I worked hard on cleaning up my current skills while also adding some new ones! My favourite skill so far is perching and I can even move my hind legs in a circle around the perch. One of my new skills that was introduced was roll. This skill involves me rolling onto my side and staying there. I don’t mind being on my side as it is part of my cooperative care where my hooman and vets can check me over.
At the end of the month, I delivered my own Christmas cards and had fun at my holiday puppy class party. We played fun games and I did super well at musical beds! Of course, the party involved lots of photos, but I don’t mind as I like taking photos with my Campus Canines BFFs. After Christmas, I got some family time with my doggy mama PADS Louise. She is still my favourite to go on adventures with. For New Year’s Eve, I was a brave and confident boy and got to adventure up to Grouse Mountain to watch the fireworks display. I did a super job at engaging with my hooman during the show. I just wish the people standing in front of me would have moved so I could have enjoyed the show too!
I love being a working dog and can’t wait to see where my training takes me in 2024!
