Hey everyone, it’s Jones here with my latest monthly update! February has been a busy month filled with training, adventures, and a meaningful cause close to my heart.
In terms of my training, I’ve been putting in the work on my recall and loose leash walking skills. These are crucial aspects of my development. Additionally, I had some new experiences with metal stairways and elevators, which have been both exciting and a bit challenging. But as they say, practice makes perfect, and I’m always up for new challenges.
Of course, amidst all the training, I’ve still found plenty of time for the things I love most – hiking and long walks. There’s something about being out in nature that rejuvenates me and fills me with joy. Whether it’s exploring new trails or revisiting old favourites, I never get tired of the great outdoors.
But perhaps the most memorable part of this month was February 28th – pink shirt “anti-bullying” day. It’s a cause that’s incredibly important to me, and I was proud to show my support by wearing pink. Bullying is something that affects so many, including humans and animals alike, and it’s up to all of us to stand together against it. Even though I may be a dog, I believe in spreading kindness and compassion wherever I go.
As I reflect on the month gone by, I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to learn and grow, both as an assistance dog in training and as a friend to those around me. Every experience, whether big or small, helps shape me into the best version of myself.
Thanks for following along on my journey, and I can’t wait to see what adventures await me in the coming months. Until next time, keep spreading love and kindness wherever you go!
