March was a busy month filled with training and adventures!
At the beginning of the month, I did a mall walk with 6 other PADS dogs! I got to practice my loose-leash walking skills and work on my dog distraction. At one point we drew a big crowd while we were practicing settling, and the hoomans promoted our fabulous PADS program. I was a good boy which made for a very successful evening of training.
In the middle of March I went on my first road trip (to Harrison Hot Springs), and even better, I got to go with my Campus Canine UBC buddy PADS Casper! I tried this thing called swimming…been there, done that, not my thing, never again thank you very much. We got to explore the lake and trails to decompress and of course, the hoomans insisted on doing some photoshoots. The middle of March also brought some fabulous spring weather! On sunny days I enjoy relaxing outside with my hooman and her friends as well as exploring the trails with my furrends.
This month marked my milestone of attending 50 UBC lectures with my hooman. I have come very far from being a grumbly, wiggly baby to a big quiet sleeping boy during class. I wonder how many more classes I must attend before I can get my degree.
An event I attended this month was the North Vancouver Home Show. I went with PADS Thorin and PADS Orion to test out some new textures and see if they had anything to make us pups even comfier at home. I think the hoomans were hoping for a machine to collect all our love tuffs of hair we leave around the house. The end of March marked the beginning of the Paddles for PADS Pickleball Fundraiser. I attended a North Shore tournament to learn more about the game and cheer on some local players. Also at the end of the month, UBC held their annual event called Storm the Wall. I watched some amazing athletes swim, sprint, bike, run, and scale a 12-foot wall. I was pretty bummed that I wasn’t allowed to participate, maybe it was because I don’t know how to bike? I guess that is something for me to learn for next year!
Only one more month of school with my hooman before we are on summer break. I am excited for more sunny weather and to do more outdoor training sessions!
