Meet STURKO
What’s wonderful about STURKO
Sturko is a fun-loving, energetic boy who is looking for a loving and active family ready to include him in all life’s adventures. Whether it’s hiking local trails, exploring new places, or enjoying long daily walks, he thrives when he has plenty of opportunities to stay active and engaged. A securely fenced yard where he can safely stretch his legs and burn off some energy would be ideal for this vibrant fellow.
At home, he settles well in his kennel, rides nicely in the car, and enjoys being part of the family.
Sturko loves meeting new people and making canine friends wherever he goes. His friendly personality shines through in everything he does. He likes children, but because of his size and enthusiasm, he may accidentally knock little ones over when saying hello. For this reason, he would be best suited to a home with older children who can safety participate in his training and adventures.
WHERE STURKO NEEDS EXTRA SUPPORT
Like many smart, food motivated dogs, Sturko is an accomplished counter surfer and scavenger. If food or other tempting items like socks, slippers or other household treasures are within reach, he’ll consider them up for grabs. His future family will need to be committed to management strategies, keeping food and other tempting items securely stored, and continuing reward-based training to help him make better choices.
A true social butterfly, Sturko often finds potential dog friends irresistible. He will do best with a strong committed handler willing to continue to work on his leash skills. He is looking for adopters who understand that ongoing training and consistency are essential to help him thrive. With structure, exercise, and positive reinforcement, he will continue to grow into a wonderful canine companion.
For the family willing to embrace his energetic personality, social nature, and his ongoing drive to fill his belly, Sturko will reward them with endless affection, laughter, and unforgettable adventures. He is a sweet dog with a big heart who is ready to find his forever home and become a cherished member of the family.
