Accredited Facility Dogs In Action

PADS Thorin, Sokka, Pyxis, and Puma, along with their handlers, spent time with competitors, coaches, Games volunteers and even family and friends of the Games.  Whether our dogs were found beside the baseball dugout, in the stands of volleyball or basketball or alongside the artistic swimming pool, they were spreading calm and gentle energy to all. The athletes and their coaches said, time and again, that the dogs were a wonderful addition to the Games. The AFD teams handled the smoke and heat beautifully, ensuring their dogs had cooling vests and were taken indoors as necessary.

We are delighted to report that this Deployment and Resource Team (DART) deployment was a huge success, and we look forward to supporting the community in special ways, like this, again in the future.
