PADS dogs are raised and trained on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Ktunaxa ɁamakɁis (Ktunaxa), Ĩyãħé Nakón mąkóce (Stoney), Niitsítpiis-stahkoii ᖹᐟᒧᐧᐨᑯᐧ ᓴᐦᖾᐟ (Blackfoot / Niitsítapi ᖹᐟᒧᐧᒣᑯ), Tsuut’ina & Michif Piyii (Métis) Nations, and the Syilx Okanagan People.

We acknowledge the importance of these lands and their history. We do this to reaffirm our commitment and responsibility in improving relationships between nations and to improving our own understanding of local Indigenous peoples and their cultures.

We breed, raise and train fully certified assistance dogs. Our service (mobility & PTSD) and hearing dogs provide life-changing independence to those with disabilities. Our accredited facility dogs work with community professionals, such as teachers, RCMP and psychologists to help support healthy communities.

PADS is a fully accredited member of Assistance Dogs International.

During Invisible Disabilities Week, we honour those living with disabilities that may not be immediately seen. Invisible Disabilities Week aims to bring awareness and education about invisible disabilities. It's a reminder that disabilities can impact lives in various ways, and that the way someone looks does not define their capabilities. We’re going back to PADS basics and today we’r We’re going back to PADS basics and today we’re spotlighting our incredible Accredited Facility Dogs! PADS Accredited Facility Dogs, or AFDs, work with community care professionals to support healthy communities. Their work often involves supporting vulnerable people in places such as schools, victim services, child and youth advocacy programs, and hospices. They can also work to support people in high-stress occupations, such as paramedics and first-responders. Unlike a service dog who will give life-changing support to one client throughout their career, AFDs support many people and often leave their pawprints on hearts far and wide 💙 What else would you like to know about AFDs?
