Throughout the COVID pandemic, Barb & Erik took detailed notes of the Okanagan puppy raising calls and published them all on Google Classrooms to keep the volunteers up to date and assisted Heather Kidd in supporting the training in this busy region from Calgary.

Brian & Jackie Doucette
Jackie & Brian have a home in both Vernon and Calgary. With the up and down COVID restrictions on travel, PADS volunteers and staff who were travelling between Calgary and Vancouver were often stuck for a safe place to break their journey.
Jackie & Brian opened their home to us to provide that resting point for both people and their puppies-in-transit – no matter what the season – helping everyone four legged and two to arrive safely to their destination.Β Because of their generosity and warm welcome, they have been named COVID heroes.
