ABOUT PADS

PADS dogs are raised and trained on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the Skwxwรบ7mesh (Squamish), Sษ™lฬ“รญlwษ™taส” (Tsleil-Waututh), xสทmษ™ฮธkสทษ™yฬ“ษ™m (Musqueam), Ktunaxa ษamakษis (Ktunaxa), ฤจyรฃฤงรฉ Nakรณn mฤ…kรณce (Stoney), Niitsรญtpiis-stahkoii แ–นแŸแ’งแงแจแ‘ฏแง แ“ดแฆแ–พแŸ (Blackfoot / Niitsรญtapi แ–นแŸแ’งแงแ’ฃแ‘ฏ), Tsuutโ€™ina & Michif Piyii (Mรฉtis) Nations, and the Syilx Okanagan People.

We acknowledge the importance of these lands and their history. We do this to reaffirm our commitment and responsibility in improving relationships between nations and to improving our own understanding of local Indigenous peoples and their cultures.

We breed, raise and train fully certified assistance dogs. Our service (mobility & PTSD) and hearing dogs provide life-changing independence to those with disabilities. Our accredited facility dogs work with community professionals, such as teachers, RCMP and psychologists to help support healthy communities.

PADS is a fully accredited member of Assistance Dogs International.

Service Dogs in Training ๐Ÿค Vet Technicians in Training

Texas and Ripto would like to use their very best puppy-eyes to say a big thank you to our friends in the Douglas College Vet Tech program for these awesome gifts. PADS is proud to partner with these students to help further their studies. Our pups spent the last semester visiting these students weekly to offer some hands on experience. Not only does this partnership help students practice what they're learning; it also offers our puppies useful socialization experience in being handled by different veterinary professionals.

Thank you, @douglascollege!

June 27 is National PTSD Awareness Day. Living with PTSD comes with many challenges, and today is a reminder to show compassion to those who may be struggling, and raise awareness on how we all can work towards breaking the stigma.

Weโ€™re proud to support the healing of first responders and veterans living with PTSD through our PTSD Dog Program ๐Ÿถ

Incredible dogs like Vader are trained to work with their partner to interrupt physical symptoms of stress, and to provide a calm, grounding presence in overwhelming environments.

You can help us raise and train more life-changing PTSD dogs! Give a gift today through the link in our bio, and help inspire hope for a future full of possibilitiesโ˜€๏ธ
