It’s been a challenging time for so many in our community, but our gratitude overflows at the way our village has pulled together to continue our important work.
Some are facing extreme financial challenges, others are saving money by staying at home and not spending on gas, coffees and meals out.
If youβre in the first category we are sending extra (virtual) puppy hugs your way.Β If youβre in the second category we’d ask that today you consider putting this newfound “spare change” towards our life-changing dogs.Β
May 5th Your Change is Doubled!
Thanks to our generous #GivingTuesdayNow matching donors: TELUS, CHIMP & The Highbury Foundation every gift on Tuesday May 5th will be matched dollar for dollar up to $16,250!Β
Our featured “Change Maker” is PADS Supporter Lindi. Lindi saw an opportunity to give on PADS Cadence’s Facebook page a few weeks back.Β Right before Covid-19, PADS ordered a custom bracing harness for Cadence to use when working with her client. With the cancellation of major fundraisers and donations slowing as the Pandemic hit, Cadence appealed to her followers to donate to PADS and help fund this important (and expensive) equipment.Β
When Lindi saw the ask, she saw an opportunity to help by donating her unspent gas and parking budget… her spare change is now going to change a life. But the story didn’t end there, when Lindi discovered her donation hadn’t covered the full amount, she shared with her friends and family and they rallied behind her to ensure PADS had the funding we needed!
Β When you have a dog in your life it is easy to understand the truth of the words βchanging lives one dog at a timeβ.
But there are many factors that go into making that happen- money being key.
At this timeβor any timeβI have money to give, it is with pleasure that I donate to PADS.
This “new normal” finds me fortunate to save on cost of gas and parking…which gave me a new opportunity to help PADS change lives.
