Team Fraser

“After receiving an email and call from Sarah from PADS in July of 2024 my life has not been the same.

I have been a paraplegic since 1985 from a ranching accident that left me in a wheelchair. Things had been going along steady health wise but the last 5 years have been affected by arthritis from the overuse of my upper body, especially in my hands and now feeling it in the shoulders.

Fraser and I have been together 5 months now and every day I am amazed by his talents. I never realized how much Fraser is changing my life. He is big in every sense of the word. He is big and powerful in size and a big heart and is loved by everyone who meets him.  His personality is chill, always attentive, and ready to work, from opening and closing doors, power door buttons, especially the ones out of reach, helps me sitting up in bed from a prone to sitting position on the edge of the bed and then pushing my chair closer to me when it rolls away.  He is able to tug me up the ramp and into my van and now is learning to help with undress.

He loves playing with other dogs and is a big boost to our family and my wife loves him as he is always there to help. He is a great traveller and companion and will help me maintain my independence for a long time to come.

I would like to thank the puppy raisers, volunteers and trainers for their time and commitment, it is because of them that Fraser is the amazing dog that he is.”
