Andre II is being raised and trained to provide life-changing independence to someone with a physical disability other than blindness or to work with a professional such as a teacher, psychologist or victim services worker to help support a healthy community.

In February, 2023, Andre II took the next step in his journey and entered Advanced Training where he’ll learn the skills needed to support his future partner.

It truly takes a village to raise a puppy, and you can be part of Andre II’s village and receive monthly updates about him — all donations raised through this page go directly towards our veterinary care fund to ensure healthy, happy puppies. Help support Andre II today.

Andre II is named after Andre De Grasse from Markham, Ontario, who won 6 medals in running (sprint) events. His gold medal in the 200-meter race at the Tokyo Olympics was his second medal in that event (the first being a silver in Rio in 2016), but it was the first gold for Canada in that event in 93 years. He made history at Rio 2016 when he became the first Canadian athlete to win Olympic medals in all three sprint events.
