Alma accompanied her trainer to the courthouse dog conference in Seattle this month and saw a few PADS Justice facility dogs like Sydney, Puma, and Glossy. They were perfect role models for her. Alma practiced settling with various handlers and had the opportunity to work on dog distraction. Back in Canada, the lovely Sue and Cassidy at APD facilitated a mock trial so she could practice assisting an emotional witness. She thought it was all interesting and stayed relaxed and curious.
