After turning 1 on the 1st of November, Asti came into heat and it went on and on. With no public access allowed during this time, our routine was disrupted and when we hit December with no sign of it stopping we were both needing OUT big time. Of course block walks were a part of our day but I had to get creative and keep Miss Asti stimulated, so of course extra training. We played the best games, and Asti loves tunnels and loves to play hide and seek, treat and seek, ice cubes in a bowl. Finally, this nasty heat business came to an end, and we were FREE.Β

We had much work and many visits to resume and many people and children had missed her. We visited Summit in Calgary, attended the VAST Volunteer Appreciation Christmas dinner, and even got to meet the Calgary Police Chief Mark Neufeld. We sure made up for lost time and finally took a ride with her sitter Gwynneth and her 5 granddaughters on the Polar Express. By far her most enjoyable non-working activity after 5 weeks was a beautiful off-leash walk and an early morning fire pit and breakfast.

Happy New Year from myself and the amazing, Miss Asti.
