October was a busy month for me. I was visited by my grandpa’s Giant Munsterlander, Abby. She tolerated me!

Then I went down to the lower mainland to watch my youngest human sibling run a cross-country race. To my surprise I didn’t come back with my humans, I stayed down at the coast. I had to go to the vet again – I already went at the very beginning of the month to get my vaccinations! This time they shaved my chest and did an ultrasound on my heart and then sedated me and X-rayed my hips. Some talk about testing to see if I will be ok to have babies. I stayed with a lovely couple when I was down there, and they took very good care of me. I even went foraging for mushrooms!

When I came back home the house was all decorated for this thing called Halloween. I got to go and be an honorary Dachshund and take part in the Howl-o-weenie walk. I am not sure I like dressing up, but I was still on my best behaviour for the costume parade!

I went and cheered my youngest human on at another cross-country race at the end of the month, the leaves were beautiful!

I love to sleep by the fire these days because it is getting colder! I am not a fan of going outside when it is raining, I hope it doesn’t snow too soon!

Well, that is it for now! Speak to you next month – woof!
