July started off with 15 minutes of the Canada Day parade in Parksville. It was really loud, so we watched from a distance and took a break in the dollar store.

When we got back, I had to say goodbye to my Baby Kennel. I got a new, more roomy one. I can stretch my legs now, but sad to see it go.

I’m learning appropriate manners for going in the ladies’ bathroom with my raiser. I’m still working on my Better Go, as my bladder has grown, and my timing is varying still.

I went to work at the Museum of Anthropology again after a month away. Now that I’m older, I’m awake a bit more, and it turns out that sometimes I have to do a “settle” between engagements. So I’m learning about that now – a work in progress. I was also the subject of a little photo shoot to capture my cuteness!

I’m still figuring out how to manage summer heat as a black lab under the close supervision of my raisers and with their help. There were also some big moments of transition as I was losing my puppy shark teeth.

My highlight of July was my playdate with lil Lyriq (she’s the same age as me, but lives on a Farm!), and being my raisers’ lucky charm and helping them win a raffle prize at a Church afternoon tea!
