Belle continues to grow and learn. New experiences this month include going through the car wash, visiting the dentist’s office as well as the chiropractor’s, going to new pet stores and restaurants, and visiting outside of two new dog parks. One day, one of the parks was empty, so she explored it on her own off-leash. We continue with walks through the mall and various shops. Belle has had the opportunity to walk off-leash on our walks in Okanagan Mountain Park.
Training has focused on dog distractions and food distractions. Belle is progressing with both of these tasks. This month, Belle has had two one-on-one training sessions with her puppy class trainer. Under Tamara’s instruction, I use a Halti collar with Belle for loose leash activities, which helps her tremendously with staying focused and calm.
